2. What this policy covers

This policy explains how we collect and use personal data when you visit this website, sign up for email updates, or make a £1 Founding Rider reservation. Collecting personal data is not the main purpose of this site — we collect only what's needed to run the reservation and keep you updated on the campaign.

3. Data we collect automatically

When you browse the site, our servers automatically process:

• IP address
• Date and time of your visit
• Pages viewed
• Amount of data transferred
• Browser type

This is technically necessary to display the site securely and reliably.

4. Data you give us directly

If you sign up for email updates or make a Founding Rider reservation, we collect:

• Name
• Email address
• Payment details (processed by our payment provider — see Section 6)
• Any messages you send us via email or contact form

5. Your Founding Rider reservation

If you make a £1 reservation, we hold your order details (order number, payment status, reservation status) so we can honor your Founding Rider Welcome Pack delivery, Hall of Heroes listing, and priority campaign access, and so we can process a refund if you request one.

6. Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details ourselves; these are handled directly by Stripe under their own privacy policy: https://stripe.com/gb/privacy.

7. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

• Strictly necessary cookies — required for the site to function; cannot be disabled.
• Functional cookies — remember your preferences.
• Analytics cookies — Google Analytics, to understand site usage.
• Advertising cookies — used with our Meta (Facebook/Instagram), YouTube, TikTok and Google Ads advertising campaigns.

You can manage cookie preferences via the "Manage Cookies" link in the site footer, or through your browser settings.

8. Advertising and remarketing

We run advertising campaigns via Meta (Facebook/Instagram), YouTube, TikTok and Google Ads to reach potential Founding Riders. As part of this:

• We may use Meta's, TikTok's and Google's tools to show ads to people who've visited our site (remarketing).
• Where we upload email lists to build lookalike or similar audiences, addresses are hashed before upload; we don't have access to the identities within a resulting audience.
• You can manage your ad preferences directly via Meta's Ad Preferences, TikTok's Ad Settings and Google's Ad Settings.

Google Ads remarketing is provided by Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. You can opt out via https://www.google.com/settings/ads.

9. Sharing your data with third parties

We only share your data where necessary and lawful, specifically with:

• Shopline, our e-commerce platform provider, who process data on our behalf to run this site.
• Stripe, our payment provider (Section 6).
• LaunchBoom, our Kickstarter campaign management partner, where necessary to manage the Founding Rider list and campaign fulfillment.
• Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose data.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

10. International transfers

Some of our service providers (e.g. Meta, TikTok, Google, Stripe) may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent approved mechanism.

11. How long we keep your data

We retain reservation and payment data for as long as necessary to fulfil our contractual and legal obligations, including UK tax record-keeping requirements (up to 6 years). Marketing/email list data is retained until you unsubscribe or we no longer need it for campaign purposes.

12. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Restrict or object to processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time (where consent is our basis for processing)

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@centaurriders.com. We may ask for proof of identity to protect your data from unauthorised disclosure.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we have not handled your data properly.
